Reggae and dancehall icon Buju Banton has mapped out a North American tour, featuring his first Canadian performance in over 15 years.
The Grammy-winning artist will take the Overcomer tour of North American arenas around the continent later year, kicking things off in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in August.
The new dates come after two sold-out shows at New York City's UBS Arena this past weekend, which marked Banton's first shows in the United States in 13 years. Support on the trek comes from Fridayy.
Banton will perform at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on October 13 for the tour's second-last stop, ahead of a November date at Brooklyn's Barclays Centre.
Tickets go on sale July 19 at 10 a.m. ET, and you can find the complete tour itinerary below.
In 2009, Banton was arrested for cocaine trafficking in the United States. In 2011, he was convicted and handed a ten-year prison sentence, and was released in December 2018.
Since his release from prison, Banton has shared a pair of albums in 2020's Upside Down 2020 and 2023's Born for Greatness. He also appeared on albums by dvsn and DJ Khaled.
