Following a great 2011, Toronto-based collective Bruce Peninsula have released a video for "In Your Light," the latest visual offering from their sophomore album, Open Flames. Directed and animated by Jesse Ewles, the video depicts a strangely beautiful ocean battle between man and whale.
Shimmering guitar plucks and joyful vocals soundtrack the initial underwater scenes, before things take a decidedly melancholy turn -- both visually and musically -- as harpoons are flung towards our new whale friends. As if rallied by the ten piece's gospel-style chants, the marine mammals fight back, delivering a throughly satisfying ending.
