Conor Oberst and his Bright Eyes boys have shared three songs in the last few months — "Persona Non Grata," "Forced Convalescence" and "One and Done."  Now, they've finally announced their new album while sharing yet another song.

The new record is called Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was, and it will feature 14 new compositions from the band, which includes Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott, along with contributions from Flea and Jon Theodore.

The album's artwork is available above and its tracklisting below, where you'll also find a stream of the new single "Mariana Trench." The track has arrived via a video by Art Camp, who explained the following:

The production of the video started at the beginning of quarantine and finished as people came back out of their homes and took to the streets together. In 18 different bedrooms across the world, listening to Bright Eyes, keeping each other company, we got the chance to collaborate on a story about embracing and celebrating change. The animation is composed of 2,200 hand-illustrated ink paintings based on original 3D animation and archival footage. We hope it makes you excited to imagine that everything could be new.

The upcoming Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was will arrive on August 21 via Dead Oceans.
