Brian Wilson Books First-Ever Cross-Canada Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 15, 2010

Back in August, Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson released an album of compositions by George Gershwin, the aptly-titled Brian Wilson Reimagines George Gershwin. In 2011, Canadian audiences will have the opportunity to experience the project in person, as Wilson will be taking the album on a full Canadian tour.

The nine-date tour includes shows in six provinces, all taking place in a last half of June. The outing starts in Kitchener, ON on June 15, heads east to Montreal and then all the way west to Vancouver, where the tour will wrap on June 28.

A press release points out that this is Wilson's first-ever cross-Canadian tour. In addition to the entire Gershwin album, Wilson will be playing "a selection of classics from both the Brian Wilson and Beach Boys back-catalogues."

Following the Canadian jaunt, Wilson will be playing a brief UK tour in September. See the currently scheduled live dates below.
