Braid

Movie Music Vol. 1

BY John AndersonPublished Mar 1, 2000

After six years together, Midwest emo giants Braid decided to call it a day in 1999. But here in the wake of that unfortunate event are two discs worth of non-album material. Vol. One is a collection of all their seven-inch appearances (including on splits), as well as the last-ever recorded song from May 1999. It's unlikely even long time fans will have all the singles, but even if you do, this is the first time they've appeared in such a convenient format. Vol. Two is a collection of compilation appearances and covers. Four of the tracks here are previously unavailable, making it also a must for fans. For anyone unfamiliar with the bands dazzling career, these two discs also serve as excellent primers so you'll know what you're getting into when you purchase their three full-length releases.
