Travelling across the Great White North and its smaller American cousin can be long and often lonely experience for a band. In fact, it can be so lonely that sometimes its best to bring along a whole other band to keep you company. So thats the plan for Torontos Born Ruffians and Montreals Plants and Animals, who will be hitting the road together for a joint fall tour of Canada and the U.S.
For Born Ruffians, theyll be touring in support of Red, Yellow and Blue, their Warp Records debut. On the road, they will also be showing off the sounds of their new digital EP, Little Garcon, which they be will selling on vinyl at the merch table throughout the tour.
As for the forward-thinking roots outfit, Plant and Animals, they will be sporting the sounds of their recent full-length debut, Parc Avenue, which is one of the contenders for this years Polaris Music Prize.
