Born Ruffians Map Out North American Tour to Say It

BY Stephen CarlickPublished Apr 1, 2010

In late February, we reported that minimalist pop dadaists Born Ruffians had finished recording their sophomore disc, Say It, and that it was being released June 1 by Paper Bag Records/Warp. Back then, the band had only a handful of shows plotted, but things have changed since then, as Born Ruffians are now set to embark on a relatively thorough trek through North America.

The tour kicks off with a CD release show in Toronto on May 28, and includes Canadian stops in such cities as Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Ottawa. Of course, there are several U.S. dates mixed in there as well.

The band have also revealed that a second single from Say it, "What To Say," will be released on May 4 by Paper Bag in Canada. The single will be backed with the previously unreleased B-side "Plinky Plonky."
