Progressive metal band Born of Osiris have released a new track dubbed "Now Arise," which is up and streaming on the Chicago band's MySpace page. The tune is from Born of Osiris's upcoming new album, A Higher Place, to be released by Sumerian Records on July 7.
A Higher Place was recorded at Planet Z Studios in Hadley, MA, with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall). As reported by Blabbermouth, Born of Osiris guitarist Lee McKinney has commented on the new album, saying: "The songs are a much more mature evolution of what we were doing before; with the new album, you can expect longer, more developed material. For the fans who feel like they've been waiting for a long time or feel like they're in the dark on it, it's all for the better. I don't feel that A Higher Place is really what most people are expecting; it will be so much more. This is the best material we've written so far and we're very proud of it."
Born of Osiris will be taking part in this year's Summer Slaughter Tour, alongside the likes of Necrophagist, Suffocation, Dying Fetus and Origin. Tour dates are as follows:
