Canada's largest festival celebrating South Asian culture is back for 2021: #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD Bank Group is challenging you to #StayHome for seven days this September with livestream headlining performances by reigning Canada's Drag Race champion Priyanka, as well as Bollywood royalty Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur and Raftaar.
The annual festival takes place virtually during the second week of September, with KidZone family fun activities — including dance classes, music, painting and more, plus live interviews and #MonsterArts for Seniors showcases — starting at 4 p.m. ET from September 6 to 9.
Then, they'll close out the week with two grand finale concerts on September 10 and 11 starting at 6 p.m ET, featuring performances by the aforementioned headliners, original Bollywood x Caribbean acts, a special music and dance production entitled "#BollywoodMonster Orchestra: Rags to Riddim," and more. You can embrace the #StayHome challenge further with behind-the-scenes access to the concert series via the #BollywoodMonster Concert AMA. Both the concert and family fun portions of the festival will take place on Facebook Live.
Ahead of September's programming, #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD Ready Commitment's online commemoration of South Asian heritage will kick off on Instagram Live this August 29 at 12 p.m. ET with an interactive meet and greet with Raftaar (Dhaakad from the film Dangal) and Javed Ali (Kun Faya Kun from Rockstar). This year's #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD hosts are Canadian Screen Award-winning actor/comedian Amish Patel, alongside media personalities Amin Dhillon, Dilshad Burman and Emmy-winner Patricia Jaggernauth.
