Blitzen Trapper recently covered Neil Young's entire Harvest album for this year's Record Store Day, but now the Portland folk-rockers are getting back to their own material with a new LP. All Across This Land comes out on October 2 through Vagrant Records.
A press release promises that the album will showcase a rock-oriented sound. The LP reportedly proves that "Blitzen Trapper possess the unique ability to create thoughtful, melodic, finely crafted songs on one hand, and deliver full throttle, infectious rock on the other."
For a taste of All Across This Land, hear the cut "Lonesome Angel" at the bottom of this page. Despite the press release's promises of rock, this is a decidedly rootsy number.
Also below, see Blitzen Trapper's upcoming fall tour schedule. They will travel all across this land in support of All Across This Land, playing a heap of U.S. gigs and coming to Canada for stops in Toronto on October 9 and Vancouver on November 20.
