Big K.R.I.T. Pushes Back 'Live From the Underground' to 2012

While we've been wringing our palms in anticipation for Mississippi spitter Big K.R.I.T. to drop his upcoming Live From the Underground LP this month, it looks as if the rapper spoke to soon when he announced the album's September 27 release date. A Twitter announcement made today (September 8) explains that the hip-hop artist's Def Jam debut won't be out until early next year.

"Big K.R.I.T. #livefromtheunderground isnt droppin 9.27 anymore moved 2 top of next year. #goodtalk," Cinematic Music Group head Jonny Shipes posted this morning. There are no details as to why the disc has been delayed. Maybe dude just needs to touch up his tracks a little bit more.

It's a bummer, for sure, but considering K.R.I.T. just dropped the Last King 2: God's Machine mixtape and also hit us up earlier this year with the Return of 4eva tape, it's still been a big year for the guy.

Thanks to XXL for the tip.
