Metal label Southern Lord is adding some more northern talent to its already impressive roster, having just revealed that it has tapped Montreal post-rock combo Big Brave for an upcoming release.
Though the details are slim, a press release confirms that the trio have inked up with Southern Lord to issue an album later this summer. Neither an album title nor a tracklisting has been revealed thus far, but the band already recorded the release with Efrim Menuck (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra) at Montreal's Hotel2Tango facility.
Prior to signing with Southern Lord, Big Brave delivered the An Understanding Between People EP in 2013 and issued their 2014 debut full-length Feral Verdure independently. You can hear all of the "moon-bleached grunge" sounds of the latter at the bottom of the page.
As previously reported, Big Brave are also taking part in Pop Montreal's upcoming Pop Off tour. You'll find their summer tour schedule down below.
