Beyond the Shore's Ghostwatcher has a song with a hash tag in the title. Yes, a hash tag — Twitter's repurposed pound sign. "#Dreamkiller" could be one of the worst titles ever, or it could be a brilliant marketing scheme — hash tags that are tweeted enough become trending topics. Metal Blade is hoping for the latter, although you'd need a great marketing scheme to sell this album in 2013. Falling somewhere between I Killed The Prom Queen, Parkway Drive and Emmure, Ghostwatcher would have sold itself in 2007. However, those groups have pushed this sound about as far as it can go, and did so with more dynamics: the riffs were faster, the vocals better and, most importantly, the breakdowns heavier. In a genre where acts barely leave the first fret, you could do worse than Beyond the Shore. However, they could also do a great deal more to avoid falling under the shadow of their obvious influences.
