Between the Buried and Me Vocalist to Release Solo Album in February

Fans of North Carolina progressive hardcore/metal troupe Between the Buried and Me have particularly short attention spans will be happy to hear that they won't have to wait much longer for new material from the BTBAM camp, as vocalist Tommy Rogers will be releasing a solo album in February.

According to a press release, Rogers will release Pulse, his first solo album, on February 1 through Metal Blade Records. Pulse will be released under the name Thomas Giles (Giles is Rogers's middle name) and was produced, written and played entirely by Rogers.

Rogers describes the disc as "a journey through sound" in the press release, and the album is described as having a "cinematic-like structure" and "exploring combinations of the outré genres of both post-rock and glitch," so you know it's going to be pretty lofty stuff, and it's also going to be a bit mellower than the usual fare from his day job.

The album's first single will be "Sleep Shake," the video for which the multitalented Rogers filmed, edited and stars in. It will make its premiere soon.

Between the Buried and Me released The Great Misdirect on Victory Records last year.
