Bestial Holocaust

Oh how I wish the cover art for this wasn't a literal interpretation of that head-shaking album title. But this is metal, so it is. And this is extreme black thrash from Bolivia, so you just know the goat vulva is going to be in full effect on the cover – and is it ever. The 38 minutes of primitive, cult-blackened thrash on this, the band's third album, were written and performed with authority; Bestial Holocaust prove they actually have somewhat of a knack for songwriting dynamics here. Check out the always-building "Premoniciones" for the best example of how a band can run raw, demo-level, energetic, Teutonic thrash through a modern, aggressive, black filter and still write a memorable song like the legends of death metal never neglected to do. It's not to say every song is totally memorable, but for such an extreme subgenre, Bestial Holocaust have that certain something setting them apart.
