Beefs 2014: Courtney Love Bashes "Queens of the Stone Age Drudge"

Queens of the Stone Age's ...Like Clockwork was one of 2013's most buzzed-about rock albums, but evidently Courtney Love isn't too impressed, since she has spoken out against the band and their frontman Josh Homme.

Speaking with The Quietus about her writing process, she said, "Well, you sit and you write like, Queens of the Stone Age drudge for a month, and it's just not happening, and it's not happening — not that Queens of the Stone Age suck, but people expect a lot more from me."

She may have clarified that Queens don't suck, but her next sentence quickly undermined that sentiment: "Josh Homme can play like, four notes on his bass and people take off their tops, but I have a higher bar for whatever reason. It has to be just fucking really, really good."

This comes hot on the heels of Love bashing Bruce Springsteen in her own YouTube video, when she said "Saxophones don't belong in rock'n'roll." She has since taken down the clip.

Meanwhile, Love will be releasing a new single called "Wedding Day" soon. It's apparently mastered and ready to go.

She's also been rehearsing with the classic Hole lineup of bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur, guitarist Eric Erlandson and drummer Patty Schemel, but she recently admitted that any reunion plans are still tentative.
