Following a 10-year quiet spell, Denton, TX indie folk outfit the Baptist Generals are gearing up to release a new album via Sub Pop. Jackleg Devotional to the Heart will be available on May 21, but you've already been waiting a decade so we've arranged a stream of the whole thing right now.
A follow-up to their 2003 effort No Silver/No Gold, the band's new album has been described by frontman Chris Flemmons as his "love album." Outside of that, he was cryptic about the lyrical content. "It might be saying a lot, or nothing at all."
Regardless of what he's singing about, the LP boasts lush production and creative instrumentation, adding a great deal of sonic depth to Flemmons' accomplished songwriting.

In support of the album, the Baptist Generals will be playing several U.S. shows. And while they won't be making it up to Canada, you can see the schedule here.
