Bad Channels

"Sugarcubes"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 17, 2014

Vancouver's Bad Channels have a self-titled album coming out on September 30 through Kingfisher Bluez, and they've given us a taste of their gritty garage-pop sound via the single "Sugarcubes."

Bad Channels' 10-song 12-inch plays at 45 rpm, and this speed is possible because the songs are all very short. At 2:38, "Sugarcubes" is the longest song on the album, and it's a fun slice of boppy sock-hop pop-rock.

The album was produced by Felix Fung (of Chains of Love and Mode Moderne) at Little Red Sounds. It's available to pre-order on Bandcamp.
