As a founding member of feel-good Canadian dad rockers Bachman-Turner Overdrive, guitarist Tim Bachman helped pen timeless CanCon jams like "Let It Ride" and "Takin' Care of Business." In recent years, the 58-year-old has worked as a real estate agent in Abbotsford, BC. His career looks to have hit some serious snags, however, as he was recently charged with three sex-related crimes involving a minor.
As CBC reports, Bachman was charged with one count of sexual touching, one count of sexual interference and one count of sexual assault. The alleged incidents happened between June 2000 and April 2004, and all involve the same young girl, who was only 11 when the alleged crimes began, according to police.
The charges came earlier this week following a complaint that was lodged 14 months ago. So far, Bachman's lawyer is the only defense to have appeared before a judge, but Bachman himself is due in court on July 5.
