Toronto electronic outfit Azari & III continue to ride the well-deserved hype following the release of this year's self-titled debut LP, Azari & III, by refining their live performances and playing more frequent shows overseas. In addition to their growing list of live shows, the four-piece have announced plans for a new single and a re-release of their debut on their new major label home.
Their newest single from their self-titled full-length, "Reckless (With Your Love)," is due out January 15 via industry powerhouse Island Records (the Killers, Mariah Carey, Sum 41, to name a few). The single, produced by Paul Epworth, is also to include remixes by Tiga, Riva Starr and Julio Bashmore, in addition to a mix and radio edit by Epworth himself.
The single, according to the press release, "blends ultra-slick production with retro vibes and soulful vocals." You can check out the original version below.
Accompanying the announcement of the new single, Azari & III have also made plans to re-release their debut self-titled record, which was previously only available via digital download and limited-edition vinyl. The record will arrive on January 22 via Island.
The soulful sounds of Azari & III's versions of house, deep house and techno have been building steam since their first singles were released back in 2009. Accordingly, the group have been slotted to play a number of festivals in the UK in 2011, including Glastonbury, Lovebox and Sonar. You can see all the dates here.
