AVIV has released her first new music of the year. The Toronto-based pop singer has shared "Jimmy's House" via Dine Alone Records / Photo Finish Records.
The new single finds her contemplating the consequences of separation over an acoustic instrumental from Juno-nominated producer Robbie Lackritz.
AVIV says the song is "about worry, particularly anxiety caused by physical distance. We grow so used to that person always being there and when they aren't, and you're left alone, you become lost."
"Jimmy's House" is her first solo release since dropping her debut album Drowning in the Culture last April.
After touring in support of Imagine Dragons last year, AVIV is set to play Riverfest Elora along with Feist, Metric and more at the end of the summer.
