After releasing the genre-defining Since I Left You in 2001, Australian cut and paste collective the Avalanches have been promising a follow-up for over a decade. Now, it looks as if the album will arrive in early 2012. In the meantime, their debut is headed for a deluxe reissue.
Modular Records is planning a two-disc reissue of Since I Left You. The re-release will feature the original album, unreleased B-sides, demo tracks and remixes from the likes of El Guincho, MF Doom, Black Dice and Stereolab. It will also include remixes of other artists by the Avalanches.
The deluxe reissue of Since I Left You doesn't have a proper tracklisting or release date just yet, meaning it's another Avalanches release to add to our waiting list. For now, check out Stereolab's remix of "Since I Left You" below.
