Maybe we should stop assaulting performers? Pop artist Ava Max is the latest to be subjected to a mid-concert attack by an audience member, who apparently slapped her so hard that he damaged her cornea.
The "Sweet But Psycho" singer was performing at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles last night (June 20) when an unidentified man rushed the stage and struck her cheek. In a video clip that has been circulating on social media, you can see the point of contact before the invader is removed by security.

Max continued her performance — and the scheduled meet and greet afterward — following the attack, but she did not escape unscathed.
"He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye," she revealed on Twitter after the incident, adding that the attacker would be banned from future performances and thanking the rest of her fans in attendance.

This comes just days after a man was arrested for chucking a phone at Bebe Rexha's face during her concert because he thought "it would be funny." Rexha was taken to hospital, requiring three stitches.
