In addition to keeping it in the family with Fleet Foxes spinoff projects, Sub Pop has been venturing out of its comfort zone with some of its recent signees. As such, the label has signed its first-ever Aussie band, Husky, and on July 10 will release the band's debut album Forever So.
This debut album originally came out in Australia last year, and you can watch a cosmic video for the strummy acoustic tune "The Woods" at the bottom of this page.
"Sub Pop is enamored with the Melbourne quartet, Husky," said label boss Jonathan Poneman in a statement. "The band's strength rests in its infectious, evocative songs and stirring live performances."
To support the album, Husky will be coming to North America for a short tour in March. Scroll down to see the schedule.
Assuming that the Sub Pop release contains the same songs as the original Australian version, the tracklist is below.
