Some 10 years have passed since Virginia metal extremists Arsis devastated listeners with their first full-length, A Celebration of Guilt. To commemorate the occasion, the band will annihilate audiences this fall with an anniversary tour behind the LP.
The tech metal vets take off on their "A Decade of Guilt" North American tour this September, with the band set to perform the entirety of their 2004 debut each night. According to vocalist James Malone, this will be the first time the band has played some of these songs in concert in years.
A statement from the singer reads: "Ten years ago I was a full time college student that was given an opportunity. The musical project that I had been working on 'for fun' on breaks from school was asked to record a full length album for a small independent record label. I had no idea at the time what the response would be to the album, or if there would be any response at all. Almost as soon as the album was released, much to my surprise, we were getting attention from around the world and my life was forever changed."
Joining the band on the trip will be Colorado death metal crew Allegaeon and Southern California's Exmortus. The month-long trip hits a number of Canadian venues, with up-north appearances scheduled in Montreal, Quebec City, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Vancouver.
