Arab Strap Kaput

Scottish indie rockers Arab Strap have decided to call it a day after creating a decade’s worth of misery together. According to the band, it is an amicable decision between members Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. "After ten years, six studio albums, three live albums and all manner of everything else, we’ve decided the story should come to a close. There’s no animosity, no drama, we simply feel we’ve run our course... everybody likes a happy ending!” The break-up comes after the release of this year’s aptly titled sixth album, The Last Romance. The band will close the book with a retrospective compilation called Ten Years of Tears, which will feature singles, b-sides, live tracks and rarities.
