Metal-minded cello trio Apocalyptica returned this month to cover the music of Metallica on their 10th studio album, and they've now announced plans to take Plays Metallica, Vol. 2 on tour in North America next year.
In February and March of 2025, the Finnish group will play 24 dates on the continent with support from guitar virtuoso Nita Strauss.
Seven Canadian dates have been included on the run, bringing Apocalyptica and Strauss to Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

Out now via Throwdown Entertainment / BMG, Plays Metallica, Vol. 2 finds Apocalyptica collaborating with both the metal icons' frontman James Hetfield and bassist Robert Trujillo, in addition to ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo. The album is a companion to Apocalyptica's 1996 debut Plays Metallica by Four Cellos.
