This is the long-awaited full-length statement from respected Moscow-based artist Anton Zap. The album follows a handful of EPs released over the course of five years, revisiting a few coveted moments from his understated discography. Zap cut his teeth as a DJ in the Russian underground, having a residency at Propaganda (one of Moscow's most prestigious clubs) and being hailed for his distinguished selections of deep house, but his productions exhibit even greater range. Zap's debut album encompasses all facets of his studio prowess, adeptly travelling between the spaces of ambient, house and dub techno. Standout moments on the record will be a familiar venture for fans: "Captain Storm" was first featured on a Poker Flat compilation in 2008, while the album's fluid ten-minute title track first saw a release on Zap's Ethereal Sound imprint in 2011. Still, they fit well between club-friendly moments like "Road Trip Song" and experimental passages "Fade To What" and "Miniature" for a commendable affirmation of the producer's regarded legacy.
