The Antlers Sign to Anti- for 'Undersea'

Brooklyn trio the Antlers offered up two releases last year, their sophomore LP Burst Apart and its accompanying remix EP (together), but the busy band clearly aren't resting on their laurels to deliver a follow-up. Their next release is called Undersea, and it emerges July 24, though it's unclear at this point if it's a full-length, an EP or an even shorter release.

As Consequence of Sound points out, the Antlers have also jumped ship from Frenchkiss Records to issue the new record through Anti-. A new trailer for the set confirmed as much, and has also offered up a sample of what to expect.

The seafaring clip features a ton of marine-themed visuals, from some playful porpoises to a footprint-covered beach scene. As for the music, the band blend some wobbly guitar and synth textures with one of the Antlers' best attempts at a whale call. You can check out that trailer below.

The group head out on tour prior to the release of Undersea, and their dates include two stops in Canada. The first takes place at Calgary's Sled Island event on June 20, and three days later they will stop at the Winnipeg Jazz Festival. You can see the rest of the schedule down below.
