Anti-Flag

"Sky Is Falling" (lyric video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 28, 2015

Pittsburg punk vets Anti-Flag are releasing their album American Spring on May 26, and with almost a month to go until then, they have released a politically charged video for the LP cut "Sky Is Falling."

This angry mid-tempo punk song is filled with cryptic lines alluding to hopelessness and a dystopian political climate. The words aren't too specific about what they actually refer to, but the video helps to shed some light, as it begins with a tragic anecdote about a family who were injured in a drone strike. As the words pop up on the screen in this video, we see stormy skies gradually beginning to clear; ironically, this is a sinister omen, since the drones fly on clear days, and the video ends with smoke rising from the explosions below.

Watch the clip below.

American Spring will arrive through Spinefarm Records. In the meantime, "Sky Is Falling" is available on a fancy die-cut 7-inch through A-F Records.
