Animal Collective's Deakin Reveals Charity Dunks Design

While last week we gave you a glimpse of Avey Tare's contribution to Animal Collective's new charity shoe collection, it's time to feast your eyes on Deakin's dunks. Possibly inspired by the mantra of "bigger is better," the musician, who maintains an on-and-off relationship with the group, has created a high-top sneaker that revels in his love of everything underwater.

Deakin's deep blue shoe, titled the Guerra high-top, has a fancy, psychedelically embroidered top that proudly displays a friendly fish. A press release explains that the performer was inspired by scuba diving sessions and his "awe of the ocean world."

As previously reported, the band partnered up with shoe company Keep on the project, with all profits going towards the  Socorro Island Conservation Fund, which aims to protect the Revillagigedo Archipelago off Baja California.

As an added bonus, each pair of shoes pre-ordered by October 31 comes with a cassette of unreleased Animal Collective material.
