After announcing a reissue of their seminal Year One LP last month, Wes Eisold's pre-Cold Cave group American Nightmare (aka Give Up the Ghost) have some even bigger news: they're getting back together.
According to a press release, the beloved hardcore group have broken their eight-year hiatus and announced two reunion shows, hitting the stage in Boston on December 29 and Los Angeles on December 31. They're not exactly close to Canada, but we have a feeling some hardcore kids will be eBaying some rare test presses to head to these shows.
In addition to the two reunion shows, Deathwish Inc. will be reissuing the band's Background Music and We're Down Til We're Underground albums on deluxe 180-gram vinyl. The records were remastered and will come in gatefold jackets with expanded artwork.
A website for the band has been set up here.
