The iHeartRadio MMVAs will return to Toronto later this summer, celebrating the year in music videos with a huge block party awards ceremony. This morning, the first round of live performers was announced.
Alessia Cara will return to the stage, following a stint co-hosting the awards show last year. Prior to that, she won the Best New Canadian Artist title back in 2016.
Halsey, meanwhile, will make her first appearance at the MMVAs as a performer.
The initial lineup is rounded out by Marshmello and Anne-Marie, who will team up to perform their hit song "Friends."
The iHeartRadio MMVAs will take place on August 26 in Toronto. The show will be broadcast on CTV, MTV and MUCH, as well as be livestreamed on the iHeartRadio app and via the iHeartRadio website.
