Alejandra Ribera Lines Up Canadian Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 9, 2014

This year, Alejandra Ribera got a major boost in publicity — not to mention $5,000 — when she won the SOCAN Songwriting Prize for her tune "I Want." Soon, she will be putting the publicity and the cash to good use by going on a Canadian fall tour.

The outing consists of eight shows, all in Canada's eastern half. In November, Ribera will play seven concerts in the Maritimes; after a short break, she will head to Ontario to perform in Ottawa on December 6.

See the schedule below. A press release notes that these are Ribera's first shows in Halifax, Charlottetown and Saint John.

Meanwhile, a press release notes that Ribera is preparing to release a pair of covers: Frank Sinatra's "Put Your Dreams Away (For Another Day)" and the traditional French song "Mommy." She released her album La Boca earlier this year on Pheromone Recordings.
