Aerosol

Airborne

With a title like Airborne, Rasmus Rasmussen's (aka Aerosol) second project album delivers the ambient shoegazing one would expect. Gentle keyboards wash over slightly psychedelic, gauzy audioscapes, while the slow melt of ether synth lines and melodic fragments float over percolating rhythms, bringing to life tracks such as "Infinite Expanse," "Dreams Flow Wide" and "Sleepy Sunset." The gentle electronic haze, perfectly illustrated in the blur of the album cover, is completely surprise-free. It's saved from cliché though by Airborne's organic nature, provided by the interwoven guitar riffs and track list's unhurried meandering.
