Rumours have been swirling that AC/DC are back working on a new album ever since the band were photographed coming out of a Vancouver recording studio last year. Now the group's longtime sound engineer has confirmed AC/DC are indeed "in the studio doing something."
The news comes via engineer Mike Fraser, who was quizzed by the Mastering Music Mastering Life podcast about the AC/DC album rumours.
"Well, yeah, I could say that we've been in the studio doing something. What's come of that I can't discuss yet," Fraser said.
When asked about the rumours that Brian Johnson would be singing on the album, Fraser would only coyly reply, "I think so."
You can watch Fraser on the podcast down below. The comments about AC/DC being in the studio come around the 37:30 mark.
So far, there has been no official announcement from AC/DC about a new album, but rumours have been alive and well that ex-vocalist Brian Johnson and troubled drummer Phil Rudd are now back in the band for the record. Furthermore, the album is said to feature unused guitar tracks from late AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young.
AC/DC's last album remains 2014's Rock or Bust, but stay tuned.
