We won't be hungry much longer: Season 2 of the gory, '90s nostalgia-infused Showtime hit Yellowjackets now has an official premiere date.

The highly anticipated second season of the horror series, currently in production in Vancouver, will premiere on March 24, 2023. It will be available to stream that day before airing on the linear network on March 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

Following a girls' high school soccer team from New Jersey trying to survive in the wilderness after their plane crashes, the Emmy-nominated first season of Yellowjackets starred Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Tawny Cypress and Christina Ricci as adult versions of some of the surviving team members (Sophie Nélisse, Pavement video star Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Sammi Hanratty). Season 2 will see two more surviving players into adulthood, with Lauren Ambrose debuting as grown-up Van (Liv Hewson) and Simone Kessell as Lottie (Courtney Eaton).

As previously reported, Lord of the Rings hobbit-in-chief Elijah Woods will be a recurring character in the new season. He'll play Walter, who's described by the network as "a dedicated Citizen Detective who will challenge Misty (Ricci) in ways she won't see coming."
