Xavier Dolan is set to make his English-language film debut with The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, and the first trailer for it has just arrived.
As previously reported, the movie tells the story of a young man reflecting on his childhood correspondence with American TV star John F. Donovan — a story perhaps partially inspired by Dolan's own childhood correspondence with a famous film star.
Last year, Jessica Chastain's performance was cut from the film, but it still features performances by Kit Harington, Natalie Portman, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, Thandie Newton, Ben Schnetzer and Jacob Tremblay.
Check out Dolan's latest Instagram post about the film, as well as the first official trailer below.
It's expected out March 13.
