Last year, we learned that Universal Parks and Resorts was planning to add Nintendo-themed attractions to its three theme parks. The company went on to give us a little taste with a concept image in December, and now they've got some videos to get us even more amped.
The team behind the park have confirmed that there will be a Mario Kart ride utilizing state of the art technology. Based on the new trailers, there also looks to be plenty of other Mario-themed attractions.
Universal Studios Japan have officially broken ground on construction of the new park, which they celebrated with a new video that showcased a Mario mascot hanging out with some executives. Far more exciting is a 30-second concept trailer that gives an impression of just how magical the theme park will be.
Provided it's not hit with a blue shell, Super Nintendo World will be open by the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The expansion is set to cost upwards of 50 billion yen (or $570.5 million CAD). It will be followed by parks in Florida and Los Angeles.
