Miranda July returns to the director's chair for her upcoming film Kajillionaire, a quirky heist movie starring Evan Rachel Wood, Gina Rodriguez, Debra Winger and Richard Jenkins. The Focus Features film arrives on September 18, and now, we have the first official trailer.
Billed as a comedy, the kitschy, brightly-coloured trailer for Kajillionaire sees Wood — donning an unusually deep voice — as the daughter of two con artists, played by Jenkins and Winger, who rope another player (Rodriguez) into their next heist.
The trailer also features a surprise musical appearance by Angel Olsen covering "Mr. Lonely" with the film's composer Emile Mosseri.
Having originally premiered at Sundance, Kajillionaire is July's fourth film and the first since the release of her 2011 feature, The Future.
