As Ontario lifts its proof-of-vaccination mandate, at least one theatre will continue it

Ontario's vaccine mandate is set to end on March 1, but at least one cinema has announced that it will be continuing to require patrons to be vaccinated.

Toronto's Revue Cinema, located on Roncesvalles Ave., has extended its proof-of-vaccination requirements until April 4. The theatre's Programming Director Serena Whitney tweeted that it was "a difficult decision to make (considering the backlash that might come from it)."

The announcement notes that "many filmgoers have bought advance tickets to our upcoming screenings under the assumption that proof of vaccination would still be required, and we want to honour that commitment to our ticket buyers."

The Revenue added that its vaccine passport would be lifted on April 4, and any new updates will be announced at a later date. See the announcement below.
