Here's something we didn't expect to be writing today — last night at an Emmy party, comedian Tom Arnold reportedly got into a physical altercation with Survivor / Beat Shazam producer Mark Burnett. While exact details of the incident are murky, there's certainly plenty of weirdness to wade through.

Let's start with Tom Arnold's first tweet from the incident:

Sources close to the incident told Variety that a scuffle took place outside of the Evening Before Emmy party at the Lawn at Century Park in Los Angeles. Around 9:30 p.m., a shoving match took place between the two men.

They're most likely fighting over Arnold's forthcoming Viceland show The Hunt for the Trump Tapes. In researching the show, Arnold has been vocal in his criticism of Burnett, who he claims is protecting Donald Trump by refusing to release a series of damning outtakes from The Apprentice that allegedly feature the president using racial slurs.

Burnett's wife, Roma Downey, also got involved with the fight, which has since taken to Twitter. She claimed that she suffered a minor injury from the alleged Arnold attack:

In response, Arnold said he plans to sue Roma for defamation:

As if that weren't wild enough, Kevin Bacon is involved too:

Shit's going to get real if these guys cross paths on the Emmys red carpet. The 70th edition of the award show takes place tonight (September 17).
