'The Simpsons' Are Already Prepping Another Crossover Short for Disney, Says Al Jean

Could they be taking on the MCU next?

Earlier this week, we got quite the crossover when the worlds of The Simpsons and Star Wars collided for a special short in honour of Star Wars Day. Well, we hope you enjoyed it, because according to long-running Simpsons showrunner and co-writer Al Jean, more crossover shorts are headed our way.

Speaking to Collider in a new interview, Jean discussed the newly released Maggie Simpson in the Force Awakens from Its Nap. When asked if the show had any plans for more ventures into the Star Wars universe, like with The Simpsons doing a riff on Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker, Jean replied with the following:

I'd love to do another, and we're working on doing other collaborations with other Disney+ properties. So it's a really exciting thing to be doing.

He then even revealed that "there's one coming" soon, apparently within the coming months. But Jean would not say if it was another Star Wars crossover or perhaps an entirely different one.

After all, Disney is by no means short on properties, including Marvel. In fact, The Simpsons diving into the MCU seems a no brainer, especially since there are basically a million and one Marvel things coming out soon.
