Here's a spoonful of some forkin' good news: Rian Johnson's Knives Out is officially getting a sequel. The wacky whodunnit, which rose the ranks of our best films of 2019, was rumoured to be getting another entry with returning star Daniel Craig, and now Lionsgate has made it official.
According to Deadline, the studio has made the no-brainer decision to make another film following the critical and financial hit. While we don't know exactly when the film will be released, the company confirmed that it's given the sequel the green light, and there's a production start date in mind.
Before it was even confirmed, Johnson already had Daniel Craig on board for a second flick. Once again, Craig will play the Southern detective Benoit Blanc, but he'll be investigating a new case.
Stay tuned for more on the film, which unfortunately won't likely be called Forks In.
