The First Trailer for Martin Scorsese's 'Silence' Is Finally Here

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 23, 2016

Martin Scorsese's religious epic Silence stands as one of the year's most anticipated films. The flick reportedly saw its A-list cast (and director) work on scale in order to achieve its grandiose look. Today, we get our first official taste.

The film is based on Shūsaku Endō's 1966 novel, which follows a pair of Portuguese Jesuit ministers who travel through Japan to find a rogue minister. Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver play the Jesuits, while Liam Neeson plays the runaway.
