Earlier this year, the Terminator franchise stunk up cinemas with its latest film Genisys. Rather than add yet another sequel (Termintaro: Exydis?), the filmmakers have opted to do something equally unnecessary: James Cameron and co. have decided to take their all-time classic Terminator 2: Judgement Day and convert it to the 3D.
The film, which turns 25 in 2016, will be converted for a 3D digital conversion. As Deadline reports, Cameron said, "If you've never seen it, this'll be the version you want to see and remember."
The silver lining of this news is that it does mean T2 is returning to theatres. The film will be released in China first, where it never saw theatrical release, and then rolled out worldwide.
Stay tuned for more information on the Terminator 2 rerelease as it becomes available.
