'Stranger Things' Star Millie Bobby Brown Wants to Play Young Princess Leia

The kids from Stranger Things have had no trouble making their way to the forefront of the public consciousness, and the biggest breakout star of all has got to be Millie Bobby Brown. Her character Eleven was one of this year's most popular Halloween costumes, but it turns out she's hoping for an even bigger role down the line.

At a recent Q and A for the Rhode Island Comic-Con, Brown revealed that she'd love to enter the Star Wars universe. More specifically, she's hoping to take on the role of young Princess Leia.

"If they made — I think they are making another Star Wars — I would love a role like that," she said, adding that she wants to step outside of the characters she played on Stranger Things and Intruders. "Because I want to do something far from Eleven or Madison." Clarifying her statement more, Brown admitted that she'd love to step into Carrie Fisher's iconic role.

It all makes perfect sense. Not only does Brown have the chops to play the part, but Lucasfilm is currently developing back story films for the main Star Wars characters. Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover are set to take on Han Solo and Lando Calrissian respectively. Plus, if a rumoured buy-out goes according to plan, Lucasfilm and Netflix might have the same owners via Disney.
