Sacha Baron Cohen Says He Was Pretending to Be a Postal Service Veteran When Interviewing Sarah Palin
He's also launched a truly ridiculous alt-right conspiracy theory site called Truthbrary.org

Sacha Baron Cohen's new TV show Who Is America? was only announced this week and it hasn't even aired yet, but it's already proving to be one of the most interesting projects of the year. Once again, the comedian has been adopting wild personas to interview right-wing politicians, including radio host Joe Walsh and Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Palin accused Cohen of pretending to be a "wounded veteran" in order to interview her. Now, Cohen has responded to the claim and revealed the name of his new character in the process. Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr., PhD appears to be Cohen's latest creation, and he's an alt-right conspiracy theorist.
Despite Palin's claims that he was a war vet, Ruddick says he told Palin that he was actually a veteran of United Parcel. Further, he adds that he fought for his country when he "shot a Mexican who came onto my property."

The letter links back to a very real website called Truthbrary.org, which is almost indistinguishable from your standard run-of-the-mill conspiracy theorist site, complete with bad graphic design and plenty of crackpot posts about 9/11 and Barack Obama. Check it out here.
Who Is America? airs on Showtime on July 15.
