Patrick Stewart — star of CBS's Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: The Next Generation — appeared on The View earlier today alongside his former TNG co-star Whoopi Goldberg.
During the show, Stewart made a surprise proposition — an offer to have Goldberg join him on Picard in the series's second season.
"I have something I need to bring up," he said to the panel. "I'm here with a formal invitation, and it's for you, Whoopi. Alex Kurtzman, who is the senior executive producer of Star Trek Picard, and all of his colleagues, of which I am one, want to invite you into the second season."
Stewart and Goldberg then stood up to get a hug in before Goldberg responded, "Yes. Yes. Yes."
"This was one of the great experiences from the beginning, to the end," Goldberg later said of working on TNG. "I had the best, best, best time. Best time, ever."
Goldberg starred on TNG for several seasons as a character named Guinan alongside Stewart, who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
Picard debuts its first season tomorrow (January 23). The show was just renewed for Season 2 earlier this month.
