Former Smallville actor and convicted NXIVM cult figure Allison Mack was released from FCI Dublin, a low-security federal prison outside San Francisco, on Monday (July 3).

Mack is free after serving two years of a three-year sentence for her involvement in recruiting women into sex slavery for NXIVM's subgroup, DOS, and the cult's leader, Keith Raniere, who remains incarcerated on a 120-year sentence.

As detailed in the HBO docuseries The Vow, several women in NXIVM were branded with Raniere's initials as part of the cult's ritualistic sex slave practices.

The actor is reportedly out on good behaviour, according to a Federal Bureau of Prisons statement obtained by PEOPLE.

Mack initially faced up to 40 years behind bars, but "provided substantial assistance to the government," which lessened her sentence substantially.

During her sentencing, Mack said she was filled with "remorse and guilt" and spoke of her time in NXIVM. "I made choices I will forever regret," she said at the time.
